Make a positive impact on the world.

The St. Augustine's Grammar School Old Boys Association (SAGSOBA) is a vibrant community of alums dedicated to preserving the cherished legacy of our founding fathers.

The History of SAGSOBA

Get to Know Us

The Old Boys Association was inaugurated on the 30th April 1971 with Chief Athanasius Nwangwu, a member of the pioneer set of 1952, as the first president; while the cardinal objective is the restoration of the lost glory of the school owing to decades of neglect by successive past administrations of the state who took over the management of the school following the end of the Nigerian civil war.

Membership of the association has grown exponentially from only a handful at its inception to now more than one thousand, with membership spanning from Enugu to Lagos, Owerri, Port Harcourt and Orlu zone, just as arrangements have been concluded for the inauguration of the Abuja branch. The flag of SAGSOBA has equally and proudly been planted in the USA and the UK with the expectation that other countries will soon join the league.

Today, SAGSOBA ranks as one of the most forward leaning and committed old Students’ association in the country.
